The fruit has been the subject of many careful tests to find out the same. And it has been fortunately proved by the same that there are no Acai side effects as such. The Acai berry is a natural fruit that grows on acai palms in the Amazonian rainforests and is voraciously eaten by many species that unintentionally propagate the Acai berry fruits through the seeds in their droppings here and there. It is a purple fruit with chocolaty taste. Due to its brilliant qualities it is consumed in a big way by the locals.

There is one Acai berry side effect on careful scrutiny. The fruit, if devoured on a large scale (Its delicious taste makes it an addiction), affects the eating habits and curbs hunger. This is a bit of a minus point as this has been a trait of theine and caffeine.
The raw fruits would be a bit expensive when exported in its freeze-dried state and so the importers use the extracts minimally to make the maximum use. Naturally, the products do not reflect the wholesome qualities of Acai berry, the fruit being present in such a little quantity; and the consumers make wrong notions. Acai berry juices, with preservatives and sugar, may have the side effects of the latter but as the product is sold mainly on the fruit’s merits; the side-effects also fall on it.
But these are of course wrong notions. The raw fruit has the capacity to answer all doubts and one just has to eat it whole to get the drift. Acai berry is very rich on nutrients and therefore is an able associate to ice cream and muffins. It may also be used in cooking purposes and the recipe would be sure of having health benefits, if nothing else.

The fruit is not a medicine though and has to be considered a fruit only with extraordinary health benefits. There is no replacement for a balanced diet and not even the miraculous fruit should be thought of as one. The Acai berry though is loaded with many strong points and is smart and natural enough to be bereft of Acai side effects.
